What if we want to invest in something bigger than ourselves, not confined by four walls a roof and a morgatge—with possible plans for expansion.
What if we trained them instead to serve with their whole lives, rather than the 10% of their heart during a worship ‘service’? … services?
What if we stopped calling them that?
Agreeing, instead with Paul:
… in view of God’s mercy… offer yourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God - this is your true and proper worship.
Call me a deconstructionist, but let the walls fall.
Let them crumble.
If it means space for fields for the gospel to be sown would that not be the desire of Christ? (See 1 Corinthians 3:1-9, Luke 8)
Or is he no longer head of his Church?
Are we building a ‘building’ (church) or a Kingdom (Church)?

and what if that’s okay?
Hearing a group of older ladies discussing the need for young people to step up and serve the church.
I agree.
But also,
What if the people you want to step up and serve no longer subscribe to what you define as ‘Church’?
What if we don’t see serving coffee or holding open doors as service in the way that you do?
